Pat-Add DA 786 is a blend of anionic and non-ionic surface active compounds to use as emulsifier to allow the addition of water into oil based coating systems without any loss of Gloss and hardness of the final paint film. Pat-Add DA 786 is recommended for alkyd enamels, specifically for low and medium oil type alkyds.

Due to the great variety of compounds used in modern coatings, it is practically impossible to give exact figures or to predict the behavior of PATADD DA786 in every formulation. After a few tests, users will easily find the exact percentage necessary for obtaining the best results. When use as emulsifier for water incorporation suggested dosages are 0.5 -1.0% on total formulation. Shelf Life after incorporation of water:
