UCC Shchekinoazot Sulphuric Acid (Grade K) is a Colorless, odorless, non-combustible, visco-oily hygroscopic liquid. Sulphuric Acid is soluble in water, is highly active when interreacting with reducing agents, organic matters, metals, alkalies, is an aggressive media for non-ferrous metals and light steels (at 90% concentration). At temperature 340°C sulphuric acid degrades into sulfur dioxide (SO2), sulfur trioxide (SO3) and sulfurous gas.

One month from the date of production. Sulphuric Acid is kept in vessels made of St 3 steel or special steel which are both non-lined and lined up with acid-resistant brick or acid-resistant material.

Sulphuric acid is transported in tanks made of acid-resistant steel St3. All the hatches of the tanks after filling shall be covered and fixed with all bolts and sealing gaskets made of fluoroplastic or other corrosion-resistant material.
