Liquiguard Technologies BioSol-H460
BioSol-H460 is a non-toxic solvent alternative to many solvents used in industry today. BioSol-H460 is a low-odor solvent that exhibits good solubility with other organic substances. This non-HAP solvent blend is a higher flash point alternative to t-BAc and can replace aliphatic and /or aromatic hydrocarbons in most formulations. Designed for use with many paints and coatings and can be used in formulating thinners/strippers, cleaners, concrete sealers and traffic paints. The applications for this non-toxic, nonhazardous, low odor and readily biodegradable solvent are endless.

BioSol-H460 contains dimethyl carbonate which was delisted by the US EPA as a VOC e_x001d_ective Feb. 2009. As of Nov. 2011 state level exemptions were approved in 45 states in the USA and approval is nearly completed in the remaining states. In California no blanket exemption exists for dimethyl carbonate as a VOC within the South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD). At this time it is best to con_x001c_rm VOC status with the local air boards. Dimethyl carbonate is VOC exempt by the European Economic Community (EEC). Depending on the prevailing regulations, the VOC content of BioSol-H460 is either 0% or 30%.

BioSol-H460 can be used by formulators in the developemnt of more environmentally compliant formulations. It is an excellent non-hazardous, non-HAP low odor alternative to aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbon solvents. Unlike hydrocarbon solvents which ae HAP's, 100% VOC and can contain carcinogens, BioSol-H460 contains no carcinogens or sensitizers. It is safer to use in production, safer worker health, and safer for the environment.
