Afcona-3700 should be added at the end of the batch preparation.

Product Features

Afcona – 3700 is a highly fluorocarbon modified polyacrylic polymer. It has very low surface tension and therefore, it can substitute and perform as silicones without the side effects of silicones.; Afcona - 3700 reduces drastically surface tension of organic coating systems. This, together with good compatibility with most solvent-based systems and minimal foam stabilizing effect, makes it very effective as an anti-crater and flow control agent for all solvent- based coatings.; Due to the low surface tension, it gives very good substrate wetting. Normally recommended to combine with a silicone based levelling agent to gives optimum performance on leveling, anti- crater as well as flow control.

Storage Condition

Afcona-3700 should be stored in a cool dry place.

Addition and Dosage

0.05 – 1.0% on total formulation. In general, under normal conditions, the dosage is 0.05 – 0.25% based on total formulation.
