Lanspec SI 30
Lanspec SI 30 is an effective emulsifier system for the preparation of stable poly(dimethylsiloxane) oil in water emulsions. Similar to Lanspec SI 20, it is applied to defoamers, textile softeners, lubricants, and releasing agents. At 25°C, it appears as a pale yellow to amber liquid, free from foreign matter, with a characteristic odor. It is dispersible in water and used in the preparation of poly(dimethylsiloxane) in water emulsions.

- Storage Condition
Stainless steel, polyethylene or glass-lined equipment is necessary for the storage of Lanspec SI30 to prevent corrosion and subsequent contamination. This material can separate on standing and at low temperatures. May require agitation and warming before use.
- Applications
Lanspec SI 30 is used in the preparation of Poly(dimethylsiloxane) in water emulsions, a typical emulsion system is shown below:. The emulsion is produced by charging the water and Lanspec SI30, apply high shear mixing to the solution and slowly add the Poly(dimethylsiloxane), continue mixing until a homogeneous stable emulsion is produced.
- Packaging Information
Lanspec SI30 can be supplied in bulk road tankers, IBC's, 200kg or 25kg nett drums.
