Magna-Tac™ A31
- Chemical Family
- Epoxy & Epoxy Derivatives
Magna-Tac™ A31 adhesive is a two-part, room temperature curing, epoxy resin formulation for general purpose applications. It is thixotropic with a creamy or buttery consistency that is easy to work and apply. Higher temperatures do not affect the thixotropy, tending, on the contrary, to inhibit flow further. Color is neutral.

- Industry Applications
Aerospace - Fabrication and repair of airframe parts.; Military - Magna-Tac A-39 meets military specification MMM-A-134 Type 1.; OEM - A special application of this adhesive is as a terminal sealer where the thixotropy of the adhesive is essential to successful spot bonding of the wires to the terminal.
- Materials It Protects
Bonds ll metals, hard plastics, treated Teflon and olefin plastics to themselves or to dissimilar materials.
- Shelf Life Storage
Shelf life is one year when stored below 90°F out of sunlight and in original unopened containers of pints or greater. Shelf life will vary with specialty packages.
- Adhesive Characteristics
It is also quite resistant to thermal changes which make it quite useful for outdoor applications and for the bonding of dissimilar adherents. In general, it can be used for bonding all metals, hard plastics, treated Teflon and olefin plastics to themselves or to dissimilar materials. A special application of this adhesive is as a terminal sealer where the thixotropy of the adhesive is essential to successful spot bonding of the wires to the terminal. A-31 is recommended for any application where flow of the adhesive during cure cannot be tolerated.
